When Janelle got horses years back, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to interact with horses regularly and get my kids comfortable around them. Through the years we have fallen in love with horses, but especially Tilly & Alibi! When my daughters found out Janelle was going to start giving horse lessons they were immediately excited about it and said YES to lessons. At the beginning of their lesson, Janelle asked them what their goal was for the lessons, and they both said “to ride like you!” Janelle did an awesome job teaching my girls (ages 8 & 10) how to interact with the horses and it really helped build up their confidence with the them. She had my daughters take turns with both horses since the horses have very different personalities, and it was great to see them become more comfortable throughout the lesson. Looking forward to more lessons in the future with Janelle!

I’ve taken a few lessons now through Rocky Acres Riding, and each experience has been amazing! Janelle is knowledgeable, professional, and fun. She gives clear, helpful instructions and is a fantastic teacher. Her horses are also amazing and they both provide a totally different experience, which has been helpful as a new learner. No uptight strict instruction here, as is so typically the case with many horse riding programs. Janelle builds on the person’s interest and love for horses and makes sure each session is positive, raises the students confidence and love of riding ….young or old.

Janelle makes you feel so safe, is super knowledgeable, and has two amazing horses with very different personalities, which makes for a unique experience when it comes to learning about how different horses operate. Experience the joy of horseback riding with a 30-minute guided ride around our property and pasture, designed for riders of all ages to enjoy at a relaxed pace.

From April to October (weather permitting), come out and get up close and personal with our furry and feathered friends! Feed, groom, and bond with our lovable animals—it’s the perfect way to get your hands dirty and enjoy the farm!
Groups of 4-10 people (All Ages) $20 a person
Ages 2 and under are free
$50 deposit due at booking, free cancellation within 48 hours notice.
